2009 has been a good year for me it's flew in but i'm not complaining life could be dragging in. I'm doing well at college. Became a magician drank less and had a good time doing it all. Roll on 2010

Slap and Pop

Today I learned to play "operation ivy - knowlage" and it's put me back in touch with the instrument I play and gave me a kick up the arse, I've spent months writing songs trying to write bass masterpieces where the bass just doesn't sit still.
None of that shit matters you could put a three note wonder who loves what he does next to the smoothest bass player in the world who's grown tired of it all the three note wonder would win every time for putting on a good show.
And I think young musicians especially in the metal department look down on people who don't know technical words and lots of riffs. Truth is I think I'm not bad but I've came every step on true passion and love for what I do.

The Youth Of Today!

Does my fucking head in! They are so cheeky and what annoys me the most is the ones that have been brought up with the most manners seem to be the most annoying when they aren't in their parents view.
It's really annoying going down the shops and wee people who are like first year saying "here mayyyte will you get me fags" and when i say no i get something like "Wit i'll batter you ya dick" They never do but thats not the point the fact is i shouldnt be asked, and i shouldnt get fucking dogs abuse when i say no. Fair enough i used to get people to go into the shop for me but it was never a case of approaching a stranger on the street and if i did and they said no i'd say fair enough and walk away.
Another thing that annoys me is those kids are influincing kids that arent even ready for primary for example. My friend was talking to a 3 or 4 year old and the kid picked up a stick and threatened to "batter him" and when the dude laughed the kid told him "yer windaes are gettin' pit in!" Three years old and acting like this, It's a fucking joke the country needs to fucking tighten its belt.

Teachers aren't allowed to even defend themselves if a child attacks them when maybe 20 - 30 years ago you spoke out of line you got a fucking leathering. It worked for our parents why the fuck is it to inhumane for us?! its a fucking joke.

This brings me on to another thing everything is going to far with all of this politically correct and health and safety nonsense!
When i am at college there are methods of devloping pictures that we arent allowed to do as the Chemicals cause a risk to us apparently. THEESE METHODS ARE TRIED AND TESTED!
they wouldnt be published in text books if there was a risk of danger.
It also really annoys me when people have to call people other things because its not PC.

Lets just wrap our selfs up in fucking bubble wrap and put ear plugs in and curl up under the rainbow eating a fucking lolly pop.

The bands never showed cos they didn’t see the point,

When all the kids are at home still smoking a joint,

They won’t go out and do nothing, not on your nelly,

They’re just watching the telly and then feeding their belly,

Their parents listen to The Beatles, while they listen to Nirvana,

Cos Green Day and The Pistols, well they never heard either,

They got long sleeve T-shirts and they never shower,

They still believe in flower power,

The hippy dream’s faded but they got nothing new,

So they wear flares and slippers and burn incense sticks too,

The kids would rather skate than go out and smash the state,

While their parents sit still and meditate,

Action’s at a low when people just don’t care,

They zoned out to their surroundings, the anger’s not there,

And I’m stuck in this hippy, grunge reality,

Where the buildings are crumbling down from apathy,

They grab you at school when you’ve just turned 13,

And show you your brand new, life long routine,

I pulled a fanzine out my back pocket, held it in my hands,

And watched the colours slowly fade away,

Not even something weak like ‘The Best Punk Album In The World Ever Volume 1’,

Outside the windows, I saw the excavators coming to tear the place down,

No-one stopped them, for there is no community left in this town,

There’s no-one around to fight Margaret Thatcher,

The power of the flower just couldn’t match her,

Too strong was the will of Parliament to cause damage,

That with no punk rock everything went unchallenged,

Land got knocked down to build more land,

That got knocked down again for a couple more grand,

With no punk the protests were full of throwbacks calling each other comrade,

Of course the young folks’ attendance started to fade,

So it was easy for the police to move in, they were trusted,

And that’s when the whole damn town got busted,

They moved CCTV cameras in everywhere,

But the people were too apathetic to care,

They made them carry ID cards to state where they’re from,

As if by being born they had done something wrong,

They shipped all the poor folk to live out in the edges,

So the rich folk could move in and peer over their hedges,

Grafitti

Is beautifull if it is done right. it Is seen as quite an anti social thing with youths criminals or gangs writing their names on Walls.

I think it can be beautiful when people genuinly do it for the love of art. It's just like a painter using brushes and a canvas a photographer using a camera and film. It gives the public something to look at.

My favourite part about the journey to Glasgow is when rolling into central station you see some amazing work on the Walls and I find it wrong that tallent like that is discouraged.
I understand if it's gangs tagging areas but I think graffiti shouldn't be frowned upon as long as it's done right!

Hello old friend!

I was in Glasgow today and as usual I dropped by tam shepards (btw as often as I mention them I'm not endorsed lol) and I asked them what circus skills they had in stock after a conversation I'd had with andrew speirs on Wednesday about what to put in the act.
I bought a diabolo and tbh it's like starting over again i'm worried now as if I can't still do this all my other circus skills will have went to pot ohh well practice practice! Next step plate spinning ----> juggling ----> roller bolo


Here's my diabolo spent extra to get comfy handles rather than wood. You get what you pay for!

One by one dreams are gone.

A long talk with Nik has made me realise just how much I've changed I always say I'm not the boy that left greenwood.

But I'm really not the dream I left greenwood with in my pocket has gone. Left school with loads of 'amazing' mates be lucky if there's ten if your one you'll most likely be here or you may just be noesy lol.

I don't even wanna do the same job as when I left school when I left school I wanted to work behind the scenes of radio I'm now a trainee photographer.

I dunno d00dz it's just hit me hard so I wrote this one.

Omg today

Was a fucking washout we woke up thinking let's go to Glasgow go to the magic shop buy some new tricks go to starbucks and preform them.

We got to the train station roughly 1pmish "I'm sorry the next train isn't till 2pm and you'll have to get a bus between glengarnock and Paisley" no problem weather still good

Rolled into Glasgow at 20 past 3!!! Weather had died no problem tam shepards here we come!!!!! SHUT!!!!!!!

Ian went to goth shop and bought gloves outta stress.

Anyway came out of goth shops went to candy shhop and payed over the odds for sweets.

Next to hmv I said don't worry I'll pick the DVD up at fopp it'll be the same price or cheaper..... It was £10

So we went to waterstones James bought a book we couldn't find ANYONE to do magic to in there

Never mind off to Borders and starbucks performing time woo we still have cards me and andrew froze couldn't do anythin for a while then when we got the courage people refused to co operate.

Left went looking for people to show in forbidden planet nothing.

Went back to station went to fopp first remember that £10 DVD in fopp £19 FUCK THAT!

Bought a different one back to station had to get some
Fucking indirect train that stopped in paisley then bus so we went for a bottle of juice we had ten mins to spare waking back seeing the train in sight I said "erm andrew they are running for that train" *beep beeep beeep* the doors closed train gone!

Half an hour wait till next one wasn't even a direct one weyms bay train to Paisley off bus to glengarnock which stopped at every little stop!! Onto another train which couldn't take us to irvine so we phoned James mum and she picked us up at killwinning that josh is why we've had a shite day!

then james im'd me i go to majorca tomoz you guys wanna chill so we went up to his he had andrew over also we sat chilling listening to music for an hour then we were like erm.... lets do something so we went a walk around the nature reserve next to james' house was funny then rebecca text cause she was walking the dog so we fucked abt the nature reserve for a bit james showed us his well organised den which he made in p7 then me and nik were playfighting :L we went back to james and sat in his garden we then started chipping golf balls onto the golf course lol we also tried to chip a basketball over with a golf club it just didnt go over lol then me nik nicola headed back to dreghorn to do a favour to my auntie and took her trampoline down so after that i came home and been relaxing since :)

Today has been a rather good day i went a wander through dreghorn and took some pics it took half my lunch and alot of time to get the photos i did of those bloody ducks :L

Another update in the life of ian

god im really not on this website enough,
tommorrows last day of college dont want it to end it sucks oh well summer holidays :) we'll see what i choose to do after the summer cant decide between photography and computing.

Devlins got himself a girlfriend :) she's called rebecca he thinks she's beautiful and she puts a smil on his moosh.

i've decided not to drink so much.
I've been helping two good friends decorate their new flat nik and nicola and i wish them good luck.
band properly starts practicing soon new bass player Nicola McLaughlin

im generally a happier person im desperate for some models to work with see how we get on.
i might be having my first piece of work published i'll update you on the details if it happens.

quick update!!

hey guys i thought i'd quickly stop by and tell you what i've been up to!
Im just ome from bradford in yorkshire visiting my best mate jamie who moved there :( but i had a kickass time and made some new friends whom i cant wait to see again. I have bought myself an i-phone! im lovin it. Photography is on hold for me atm as my camera is broken the nikkon people are gonna repair it. im thinking of getting a "mum" tattoo to suprise my mum. going to glasgow tomorrow for some new clothes should be fun! i've applied for the hnc in photography today. erm trying to think of new things . . oh! the band are back together and we have started writing again and are hoping to be on the stage by the summer so look out . . anything else . . . . . .erm nope about it i'll write summit soon

reunion?

If you know me or know of me you'll probably know i used to be in a band called a silent suicide or [A.S.S] as we were known but we split up due to personal differences they have been sorted now and were thinking of trying again the comeback will be interesting but we wont be doing it under the old name if we come back were coming back as Stuck [&] Stoned. but at the moment details are a bit dodgy as we are looking for a drummer and possibly a second guitarist and as were all struggling for time it might not happen i just thought i'd update as the rumors can tell a different story

few things been happening recently

Off college on a study week its been quite boring read over a few notes but i've been picking up the guitar alot more lately :) i self taught myself to play the song "dueling banjo's" which is always a laugh to play, i have also started to wonder if im accident prone as this week i have almost fell down the stairs twice, burnt myself on the oven, bumped my head alot and finally the most stupid of all i broke my toe by walking into a door :L wasnt all that exited at the time but its quite funny now.

appart from that this week has been quite slow waiting for the new block to start on monday at college xD

ah well im gonna go find something to do now
